Butler & Son Funeral Home Inc. is a full service funeral home that provides the following services at two modern facilities.
Traditional Service
The traditional funeral service with a visitation is the most frequently selected service. A minister gives the eulogy and the family receives memorial tributes and flower arrangements from individuals and organizations.

Direct Cremation:
Direct cremation does not include any service. A signed death certificate from the attending physician along with a signed authorization from the next of kin, or authorized agent of the deceased must be obtained. North Carolina law requires a twenty four hour waiting period before a body can be cremated.
Cremation with service:
This includes a service, public or private visitation, and a choice for a memorial service.
Graveside Service:
This service is held at the cemetery. A minister is present along with the funeral director. The body is transported by the funeral home. Music, poems and other reading can be included.
Memorial Service:
The body is usually not present at a memorial service. The family may also request the body be present. Poems, music and personal tributes are given.
Immediate Burial:
Immediate burial would not include any services. The funeral director and staff would bury the body with no ceremonies.
Disinterments:
This is a procedure that involves moving the body from the grave. Certain permits are required.
Funeral Pre-Planning:
Any of the services offered can be pre-arranged. Our experienced staff can help you with the option best for you.
Additional Services
File social security survivors benefits form.
File VA forms - headstones, flags, burial benefits, etc.
Insurance Claims - In addition to policy used for funeral expenses, we will file any additional claims at no charge.
Aftercare Programs - We provide aftercare to the family such as grief support and counseling. Our holiday memorial service is a program designed to help families remember their loved ones during the holiday season.
