All of us at Butler & Son Funeral Home, take pride in being a family –owned business. Samuel C. Butler started the family funeral business in 1971. The business grew steadily and in 1985, his son Timmy R. Butler, came into the business and Butler& Son Funeral Home Inc. was formed.
The Butler family has been a part of this community for many years, so we know our community’s unique “ways of doing things”. Because we understand the customs and traditions, Butler & Son Funeral Home is very sensitive to what our clients need and want. Our family knows the value that people here put on hard work and their hard-earned money.
Maxine Butler –Wall started with business in 1991 as a Funeral Director and Vice- President. Two other family members Louise Butler, and Samuel Jr. started with the business in 2001 and 2002. In February 2004, Butler & Son Funeral Services opened. Expanding to a second location has provided us to serve Sampson, Cumberland, Bladen, and now Duplin Counties along with the city of Clinton.
As graduates of our state schools and colleges, family members have made long-term and affectionate investments in our community, in terms of our properties and our staff. Our family knows our community’s houses of worship. We can also direct our clients to a wide variety of helpful community resources. The Butler family considers it a privilege to serve other families where we all work and live.
