Deborah Lynn Shoop

Deborah Lynn Shoop passed into the arms of her creator on Wednesday, Aug. 31, after a hard fought battle with cancer. 

The oldest of six children, Debbie leaves behind many hearts that will cherish her memory, including one son. She was born on May 2, 1990 and lived an interesting and full life making many friends along the way. She has left a family of many brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.

Debbie was an avid reader of Scripture as well as a prolific writer of poetry. She had an infectious laugh and truly enjoyed running on the beach with her family. Hammocks Beach State Park was a special favorite. There were many clouds in Debbie's life, but much sunshine, too, and she handled both with grace. Her family will miss her twinkling blue eyes a great deal as Debbie now makes her home with her Lord.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name. Online condolences may be left at Butler and Son Funeral Home in Clinton. 

Entombment will be Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at Springvale Cemetery in Clinton, NC, where she and baby Miracle La’shea Michelle Shoop will be laid to rest.
