Gerard Montes

Gerard Montes was born in Port-au-a-Prince Haiti, on June 14, 1930. Gerard Montes passed away peacefully Sunday, September 22, 2024, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC surrounded by his loving daughters. Gerard was predeceased by his spouse Isabelle Montes, two daughters Rony Montes and Marie Jose’ Stoehrer, and grandsons Manuel Montes and Derrick Parker.

Gerard Montes lived in Newton Grove, NC. He was a faithful follower of God. He belonged to the parish of  Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove, NC.  He instilled faith, hard work, and dedication within his family and community. He took pride in his work, farming, and raising livestock. Gerard had a multitude of talents that he shared with his loved ones, he was an excellent cook, craftsman, and mentor. In the minds and hearts of his family and friends, he leaves an image of laughter, joy, strength, and love.  Mr. Montes was a mighty pillar to his family, his legacy will live on through generations to come.

Graveside service will be  Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC at 12:00 pm Noon.
