Henry Lee Treadwell, Jr.

Henry Lee Treadwell Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and community leader, went home to our Lord on February 23, 2025, in his hometown of Garland, North Carolina. Born on January 15, 1951, in Garland, Henry was a proud graduate of Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He dedicated his career to General Motors, where he worked diligently until his retirement.

A man of deep faith and service, Henry was a Deacon at Garland First Baptist Church, where he faithfully served his congregation and community. He was also a dedicated member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., building lifelong bonds of brotherhood. When he wasn’t working or serving others, Henry found joy in riding his motorcycle, caring for his horses, and spending time on the golf course—pursuits that reflected his love of the outdoors.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee Treadwell Sr. and Lucille Locklear Treadwell, and his beloved son, Henry Lee Treadwell III. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Daisy Gina Marcelle Treadwell; his daughter, Shantay Fennell (Anthony); his son, Tori Treadwell (wife Kristina); his grandchildren, Brittany, Toriano, Declan, and Logan; his great-grandchildren, Skylar and Landen; and his siblings Mary Ann Townsend (Elester), Vivian Gunter, and special brother Glinford Donnell Treadwell (Shirley).

His larger-than-life personality, his pride in his family’s legacy, and his devotion to his relationship with Christ will live on in the hearts of all who knew him as "Lil Buddy.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 2,  2025 at 3:00 pm at Garland First Baptist Church (227 E. 4th Street, Garland, NC 28441).

Viewing will be one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

Interment: Garland Community Cemetery (203 Hill Circle Road, Garland, NC 28441).
