Janice Butler King

Age-65 of 4450 Old Warsaw Rd., Turkey, NC departed from this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her residence. 

Mrs. King was born January 28, 1955 to the late Lubie and Elizabeth Butler in Clinton, NC. To this union she was the 10th child out of 10. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Lula Mae Butler, Minnie Lee Mathis, and Grace Butler; three brothers: Bernice Tom Butler, James "Moochie" Butler, and Lubie Dillian Butler, and one brother-in-law. 

Janice better know as "Rabbit", received her education from Hobbton High School Class of 1973. She was employed at McDonalds, Revco, and she was a Home Health Nurse and she also was a substitute teacher for Clinton City Schools. Janice joined Holly Grove Church of Christ at a young age, and later on in her life accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. Ms. King remained a faithful member there. She also serves as a faithful member of the Pastor Aide Committee. 

Janice loved cooking for her family and friends as well as baking cakes, she also enjoyed looking at the lifetime channel. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved so very much. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her Husband: Dannie King Sr. of the home; one Son: Dannie King Jr. of Clinton, NC; one Daughter: Chantel King (Frank) of Clinton, NC; three Grandchildren: Nyum Boykin, Dan'Ron Boykin, and Destiny King all of Clinton, NC. Two Sisters: Shirley Faircloth and Alice Butler both of Clinton, NC; One Brother: Roosevelt Butler (Barbara) of Clinton, NC; Nine Sister-in-laws, Six Brother-in-laws, and a host of special nieces and nephews,  cousins, and friends. 

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Sandhill Cemetery in Clinton, NC at 10:00 am. 

Service will be live streamed through Butler & Son Funeral Home Facebook Page at the time of the service. 

Masks are required.
