A TIME TO BE BORN: Jimmie Lee Bryson, Jr was born on December 7, 1944, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Jimmie and Martha Bryson.
A TIME TO DEPART: On Friday, December 29, 2023 at the age of 79. Jimmie gained his wings at 5:28pm at First Health of Carolina of West End, NC.
A TIME TO GROW: Jimmie graduated from Carver Senior High School in 1962 in Montgomery, Alabama. He also graduated with an Associates of General Studies in 1993 from Community College of Southern Nevada. Jimmie pursued a career in the United States Air Force dedicating 30 years defending the country. Jimmie was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in numerus duty stations during his military career. He received numerous awards while serving in the Air Force. Some of those awards were the Meritorious Service Medal with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters, Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award to name a few.
A TIME TO EXPAND: Upon retirement with the United States Air Force, he worked for 20 years for the State of Nevada. Jimmie was the manager with the Department of Human Resources Welfare Division. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jimmie loved sending cards to his family and friends remembering birthdays and holidays.
A TIME TO MOURN: Jimmie was preceded in death by One Son Gunnery Sgt. Stephen L. Bryson; Five Brothers: Raymond, Tommie, David, Leonard and Peter David Bryson. He is survived by Two Brothers Clinton and Melvin Bryson of Montgomery, Alabama; One Daughter, Juanita Marie Blanks passionately referred to as “Sweetheart” of Fayetteville, NC; One Grandson, Cary Daniel Hammonds (CJ) of Elizabethtown; Two Granddaughters, Amia and Aliana Blanks of Fayetteville, NC; One Great-Grandson (May 2024) Cashton Daniel Hammonds and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Butler & Son Funeral Services (410 N. Blvd, Clinton, NC 28328) at 1:00 pm.
Public Viewing will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Bulter & Son Funeral Services (410 N. Blvd., Clinton, NC 28328) from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm.
