Johnny Melvin

age-78 of 205 E. Pinewood St., Roseboro, NC died Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his residence. 

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11 am, Roseboro United Methodist Church, 300 N. Broad St., Roseboro, NC. 

Interment: Roseboro Cemetery, Roseboro, NC

Public Visitation: Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 1 to 6 pm at Butler & Son Funeral Home, Roseboro.

Mr. Melvin served two terms as a Sampson County Commissioner in District 4. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Myra Melvin. Five sons: Roderick "Ricky" Melvin, Martin Young, Johnny "Papa" Melvin Jr., Carl McDowell Jr., and Jerald Lesane Jr.; Four daughters: Veronica "Raunnie" Edmond, Sherelle Morgan, Jennifer Melvin Sherman, and Lillian "Lee" Melvin; One sister: Ardessa Lewis; 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children.
