An era has come to a close, yet life continues both here both in this life and extends unto eternity. On February 10, 2021, God saw fit to call her to her heavenly home.
Mother Pauline Rogers Williams, born September 21, 1923, in Cumberland County, NC to the late Mac Rogers and Alberta McAllister Thompson. She attended the Cumber School. She was employed by Rackford Center in Wilmington Deleware.
At an early age she joined Mindle HIll, and later joined St. Matthew in Delaware where she worked diligently until her health declined.
She married the late Alonza Williams, to this union twelve children were born. She was preceded in death by two children; Carolyn J. Tucker and Alonza Williams, Jr., three grandchildren; Joe N. Melvin, Donald R. Tucker, and Thomas Owens, two sisters; Mary Rich and Christine Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory four girls; Margie Williams, Joyce (Jame) Melvin of Roseboro, NC, Shirley Draper of Wilmington, DE, Edna (Thomas) Burke of Fayetteville, NC, Harold & Shirly Stroupe, her blended family of Raleigh, NC; 6 sons; Linwood Williams of Steadman, NC, Donnie Williams of Raleigh, NC, Kenneth (Anna) Williams, Terry (Sheila) Williams, Carl Williams, Edward Williams, all of Wilmington, DE; one brother; Earl Thompson of Roseboro, NC; Daughter-in-law; Hilda Williams of Newton Grove, NC; one son-in-law; Billy (Glenda) Tucker of Autryville, NC; 54 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service: Sunday, February, 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Public Walkthrough: Sunday, February 14, 2021 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm at Butler & Son Funeral Home, Inc. in Roseboro, NC.
