Zesserine Butler was born on May 16, 1945, to the late Exxon Beckwith and Clarkie McNeill-Beckwith,in Sampson County, North Carolina.
She departed this life and went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 21, 2020.
She received her education in the Sampson County Schools.
She was saved in the Deliverance Center Church under the leadership of Pastor Richard LueHar Taylor until she became a full member of the Full Gospel Church of God of Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Corinthian Henry. She relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina where she then served under Pastor Rudolph Tripp at Kingdom Building Baptist Church over the last twenty years as Minister Zesserine Butler.
Minister Butler was a woman of favor, prayer, faith, and virtue. She was no stranger to people, because of her love for others. She was able to inspire those she encountered. One of Minister Zesserine favorite songs was, “What you need Gods got it”.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband of 30 years, Crawford Butler Sr., three sons: Toney A. (Carolyn) Williams, Crawford (Geraldine)Butler Jr., of Rochester, NY, Jay (Rose) Butler of Raleigh, N.C., Leon Butler of Plant City FL., three daughters: Michelle Butler of Alaska, Regetta Butler of Fayetteville, N.C., Patricia (Mike) McDonald of Rochester, NY., One Brother Willie D. Beckwith of Salemburg, N.C., Godson Daniel Devane, Twelve grandchildren, great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery at 1pm.
Public Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:45 am-12:45 pm at Butler & Son Funeral Home, Roseboro, NC.
Graveside service will be live-streamed on Butler & Son Funeral Home Facebook page. Masks are required.
